PUBLIC ART &

EXHIBITIONS

We engage the community with a host of art pop-ups, festivals, and public installations that blend digital story-telling and mixed reality experiences. Our events feature global artists + local artisans to empower unique and underrepresented voices. From XR popsicles to interactive murals, we create “shells” for engaging, accessible experiences.

Past projects include an AR-enabled large-scale mural, a mixed reality art festival, and immersive tech-forward installations.

Future Arts Live!

Future Arts Live! is a new hybrid live-stream experience where community members can learn, interact, and connect with Seattle’s creative and tech leaders. Audiences in our Future Art Live! event series can interact with performances, lectures, panels, demonstrations, and installation via livestream or in-person through emerging technologies and mixed reality.

Young Futures

The Young Futures program develops programming and educational opportunities for teens and young adults. We partner with local organizations and colleges to offer creative tech courses taught by future artists and community engagement practicums through emerging technology mentorships and studies.

Currently, we have two ongoing projects. Our Spatial Justice Mural in collaboration with Coyote Central and our Artist Database Project in collaboration with Seattle University.

F-·AIR PROGRAM

The Future Arts in Residence Program (F-·AIR) partners artists working on the cutting edge of tech and science with local companies. Residencies, onsite or digital, consist of lectures, art demonstrations, and installations designed to engage the company workplace and the local community.

You can learn about our latest Artist in Residence, Divine Ndemeye, in partnership with creative agency Houdini Interactive.

Ar+Pops!

Our custom-made popsicle stick holders pair with local artisanal vendors to create a totally unique culinary experience. The popsicle stick holders are activated through augmented reality, intertwining your popsicle with a beautiful digital artwork by global artists. Each artwork tells the story of the ingredients and cultural stories of the popsicle/popsicle flavor you’re eating.

Open calls for artists and vendors announced annually.
